The journey began in 1905, in a time when Villa Rosa was built surrounded by orange groves. Nearby Crescent Lake Park, considered a jewel by today's locals, was only a sketch on a piece of paper. And the first commercial passenger flight in aviation history, which took place between St Pete and Tampa in 1914, was still 9 years away.
